Onik founded Normalize as a solo, build-in-public project and has been its architect ever since — from the first line of the Gift Wrap widget to the visual editor behind Cart Drawer. Three apps now live on the Shopify App Store, all held to the same standard: commerce software should feel built into the theme, not bolted on.
A Shopify expert and full-stack engineer, he works across the whole stack — Liquid, Shopify GraphQL API, Polaris and Shopify Functions on the platform side; Node.js, Remix, React, PostgreSQL and AWS underneath. The obsessions are specific: zero cumulative layout shift, runtimes under 15kb, design tokens over !important hacks, and support that answers in minutes. As Normalize grows into a studio, he leads engineering across products and client work.
